Cheeseburger Pizza Recipe

Unless you live under a rock, you might have noticed that the Cheeseburger Pizza is having its moment. Show your business is up to date with current trends and surprise your patrons by trailing your own version of the burger pizza topped with chunks of our popular Gourmet Beef Meatballs.

Ingredients

  • Angel Bay Gourmet Beet Meatballs
  • American Cheese Slices
  • Butter Pickles
  • 5 tbsp Burger Sauce
  • 1tbsp Mayonnaise
  • Dough
  • 600g Plain Flour
  • 2 Tsp Yeast
  • 375ml Warm Water
  • Caster Sugar
  • Salt
  • Olive Oil

Method

  1. Thaw Angel Bay Gourmet Meatballs prior to creating this recipe.

  2. If making the dough from scratch, start by combining the water , yeast and sugar. Set aside until foamy (approx. 5 mins). Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl, making a well in the centre. Add the yeast mixture and oil to the bowl. Use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to mix until the mixture is combined. Use your hands to bring the dough together in the bowl.

  3. Brush a bowl lightly with olive oil. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in the prepared bowl and turn to coat in oil. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm, draught-free place to rise for 30 minutes or until dough doubles in size.

  4. Dust work surface with flour. Knead dough and form into a long cylinder. Divide into thirds. Use a rolling pin to roll each third into a 20cm disc.

  5. To prepare the toppings, combine burger sauce and mayonnaise in a small ball. Spread over pizza base followed by the cheese. Pull apart 5-8 Gourmet Meatballs and scatter the pieces over the cheese, followed by the butter pickles.

  6. Place pizza on tray and bake in the over betwee 13-15 minutes 240°C or until edges start to brown.

  7. Once cooked, pull out of the over, cut while hot and serve. Bon appetite!
