Classic Vegan Cheeseburger Recipe

Sometimes, only a cheeseburger will do. But when you're a vegan, it can be hard to scratch the cheeseburger itch. Give your vegan patrons a helping hand by trailing our new Veggie Patties and putting this Classic Vegan Cheeseburger on your menu.

Ingredients

  • Angel Bay Gourmet Veggie Burger Patties
  • Red Onion, sliced
  • Iceberg Lettuce
  • Butter Pickles
  • Vegan American Sliced Cheese
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Brioche Buns
  • Vegan Burger Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Mayo
  • 1 Tbsp Pickle Relish
  • 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
  • Salt

Method

  1. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl to create the vegan burger sauce.

  2. Cook Angel Bay Veggie Patties according to the pack instructions. With 2 minutes remaining on your cook time, put the buns face down on the grill to crisp up and add the vegan cheese atop the patty to allow it to melt.

  3. To assemble this burger, add a generous dollop of burger sauce to the bottom bun followed by the pickles, lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Place the veggie patty on top, followed by the red onion, more lettuce and another spoonful of burger sauce. Add a small squeeze of tomato sauce, add the top bun and serve!
