Greek Burger with Halloumi Recipe

Ingredients

  • Angel Bay Quick Cook Beef Burger Patty
  • Seasame Seed Bun
  • Halloumi, sliced
  • Cucumber, cubed
  • Baby tomatoes, halved
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Cos lettuce
  • Olive oil
  • Tomato relish or chutney
  • Lemon
  • Salt & Pepper

Method

  1. To prepare the greek salad filling, cube the cucumbers, thinly slice the red onion, halve the baby tomatoes and throw in a bowl together. In a separate bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle over the veggies.

  2. Cook the Quick Cook Beef Burger patties according to the product instructions. While the burgers are cooking, halve the burger bun and lightly toast under the grill.

  3. Heat a tbsp of oil in a shallow fry pan and fry the halloumi until golden on both sides.

  4. To assemble the burger, slather the bottom bun in the tomato relish or chutney. Place the cos lettuce, halloumi and beef patty on the bun followed by a generous helping of the greek salad. Place the top bun on the top and hold it all in place with a decorative skewer.
