Healthy Open Sandwich Recipe

Perfect for the more health-conscious customers, or even anyone looking for a lighter meal this open sandwich is fresh and full of flavour! With greek yogurt dressing, juicy Gourmet Beef Patties, ribboned cucumber, and fresh red onion, this burger not only looks the part but will fit perfectly into your summer lunch menu!

  1. Prepare the veggies by thinly slicing the tomato and red onion. Ribbon the cucumber by running the edges through a potato peeler. Roughly chop the mint.

  2. Cook your chosen Angel Bay beef burger patty according to the product instructions. While the patty is cooking, lightly toast the open side of the Turkish bread on under the grill or on the hot plate.

  3. Combine the yoghurt, mint, zest and juice of lemon together. You can avoid the sauce from being too wet or runny by chilling it for a few hours ahead of service.

  4. To assemble the sandwich, spread a tbsp of the yoghurt sauce on the Turkish bread followed by the spinach, tomato and beef burger patty. Add the red onion, cucumber and a generous dollop of the yoghurt sauce followed by a sprinkle of mint and serve!
