International Burger Day Recipe: The Standout Burger

Celebrate International Burger Day with this bold and delicious recipe for your new Standout Burger. This burger is not for the faint-hearted, as it boasts a variety of bold flavours that will fascinate and really hook your customer's taste buds.

The charcoal brioche bun supports a 180g patty! But that's not all - the patty is also loaded with healthy and flavorful ingredients like cauliflower, miso, and Gruyere cheese, giving it a unique twist.

Ingredients

  • 4 x Angel Bay Gourmet Beef Patties
  • 4 x Charcoal Brioche Buns
  • 20g Butter
  • 80g Gruyere Cheese
  • 20g Mixed lettuce
  • 1 head of Cauliflower steaks
  • 10g Miso
  • 20g Honey
  • 1tsp Curry powder
  • 50g Mayonnaise
  • 10g Gherkins, fine dice
  • 5g Red onion, fine dice
  • 5g Yellow Mustard
  • 5g Ketchup
  • 1tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Pinch Cayenne Pepper

Serves 4

Method

  1. Cook the Angel Bay Beef Patty on your preferred grill or pan until it has good looking caramelised crust and internal temperature of 75c.

  2. Top patty with cheese for the final 60 seconds of cooking.

  3. In a bowl mix miso, honey and curry powder into a paste.

  4. Slice cauliflower into 1cm steaks and brush both sides with miso honey mix.

  5. Roast in the oven at 210c for 10 minutes, flip cauliflower and continue cooking for further 5 minutes.

  6. To prepare sauce mix all ingredients together and set aside.

  7. Slice the bun in half and spread butter on both pieces and lightly toast.

  8. To build burger, spread sauce around bun base, top with sticky miso cauliflower steak, some green leaves, Angel Bay Premium Beef Patty, finish with your bun lid. Enjoy!
