Takeaway Burger Recipe

Is there anything more iconic than a takeaway burger? Eaten by patrons in passing, by tradies on smoko and by families enjoying a day at the beach. Use this recipe and you'll have a winning takeaway burger menu item that will please the masses and keep your tills ringing.

  1. Cook your Homestyle Beef Burger patties according to the product instructions. Add the sliced American cheese to the patty when there is 2 minutes cook time remaining to get the perfect ooze.

  2. While the burger patty is cooking, halve the seasame seed bun and lightly toast each side.

  3. To assemble the burger, add a squeeze of mayonnaise to the top and bottom buns. Add another other sauces such as mustard, ketchup or BBQ sauce as requested by the customer. Place the patty on the bottom bun followed by the cos lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Place the top bun on top and wrap in takeaway paper or place in a takeaway box.

  4. Extra: Serve in a combo with a side of hot chips and a drink.
