Pesto Lamb Burger Recipe

Add a spritz of Summer to your menu with this delicious pesto and lamb burger. This burger is versatile meaning that you can prepare it using either our Gourmet Lamb Patties or our Gourmet Lamb Rissoles - both producing an outstanding burger and giving you additional menu options.

 

Ingredients

  • Angel Bay Gourmet Lamb Burger Patties or Gourmet Lamb Rissoles
  • Brioche Burger Bun
  • Tzatziki
  • Red Onion
  • Feta
  • Rocket & Micro-greens
  • Tomato
  • Pesto
  • 2 Cups Fresh Basil
  • 1/2 Cup Romano or Permesan Cheese
  • 1/3 Cup Pine nuts
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 3 Cloves of Minced Garlic
  • Salt & Pepper

Method

  1. Prepare the pesto by pulsing the basil and pine nuts in a food processor a few times. Add the garlic and hard cheese and repeat. With the food processor slowly running, slowly add the olive oil in a steady stream. Once done, season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Cook your Angel Bay Lamb Burger Patty or Lamb Rissole according to the product instructions.

  3. To assemble, slather the tzatziki on the top and bottom bun then scatter the crumbled feta. Top with rocket and micro greens and then add the lamb patty followed by a healthy layer of pesto, the thinly sliced red onion and tomatoes. Place the top bun on top and serve!
